Franconia Notch Brewing Company existed almost entirely before the internet became a reliable record of things. What follows is a collection of the documentary evidence that survives — federal records, state registrations, period publications, and original materials from the brewery itself.
1997 onward
Certificates of Label Approval (COLAs) issued by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for Franconia Notch Brewing Company's beer labels. These federal records document the approved label artwork and text for each beer produced at the brewery.

The site featured the distinctive NOTCH letterform design — landscape photography visible through die-cut letters — that was notably sophisticated for a small brewery website of that era.
